Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ Belgium Cricket Federation Chairman Umair Butt has announced that Belgium will host a T20 cricket festival from June 6 to June 14.
In a message issued for Tarkeen-e-Watan News, he expressed his pride and excitement, stating that during his tenure as chairman, the Euro T20 Belgium League will be organized for the first time. He said the tournament will feature five teams and will bring international players from around the world to Belgium.
The event is being organized in partnership with Destino Legends and has been officially approved by the Belgium Cricket Federation.
According to Butt, the goal of the league is not only to organize a cricket tournament but also to promote the sport in Belgium, provide local young players with the opportunity to play alongside international-level cricketers, and introduce Belgium as an emerging cricket hub in Europe.
He further revealed that the league draft ceremony will take place on March 24 at a historic castle, where participating teams will select their players.
