London, (Shahzad Ali) __ In a heartfelt address during a significant Independence Day ceremony in Luton, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, emphasized the vital importance of engaging the young generation in strengthening ties with Pakistan.
The ceremony, organized by Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE, showcased the unity and vibrancy of the Pakistani community in Luton. Dr. Faisal commended the strong involvement of British-born Pakistani youth in the event, attributing this level of engagement to the dedicated efforts of the host and reflecting a cohesive community spirit.

He underscored the importance of Pakistanis in the UK actively contributing to local society while nurturing strong connections with their roots and homeland.
Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE welcomed attendees warmly, highlighting the bravery and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the nation. He specifically praised Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir for his capable leadership during challenging times.
The ceremony was attended by Lord Qurban Hussain, Mayor of Luton Councillor Amy Nicholls, former Deputy Leader of Luton Council Raja Muhammad Aslam Khan, former Azad Kashmir ministers Malik Nawaz and Sardar Farooq Sikandar, OPF Chairman Syed Qamar Raza, Press Minister Ali Nawaz Malik, Chief Executive of Luton Borough Council Mark Fowler, Director Mark Turner, Deputy Leader of Luton Council Javed Hussain, Naeem Abbasi, former mayors Riaz Butt, Raja Saleem and Tahir Mahmood Malik, Dr. Qamar Subhani, Amir Subhani, Coordinator Kashmir Solidarity Campaign Luton Haji Choudhry Muhammad Qurban, solicitor Sadiq Subhani.

Approximately 350 community members, including families and children, gathered to celebrate. The festive atmosphere included a cake-cutting ceremony, numerous congratulatory speeches, and vibrant decorations featuring national flags and buntings in honor of Pakistan Day.
A large screen was set up to ensure everyone could enjoy the festivities, and children presented bouquets to the High Commissioner, adding a special touch to the event.

This celebration highlighted not only the community’s enthusiasm for Pakistan’s Independence but also the potential for young people to play an instrumental role in fostering closer ties between the UK and Pakistan.
