Fairfax, Virginia, USA. (TW) __ Sardar Zarif Khan was transferred yesterday to Inova Fairfax Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation (IFHIR) after spending 33 long days at INOVA Hospital, Fairfax. The mission statement of IFHIR says that “We have an outstanding team of rehabilitation professionals who strive for the best outcomes for their patients and families and are dedicated to ongoing professional development. Our goal is to help you return home as independent and safe as possible. The rehabilitation services department is an integral part of Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. Our team members include physical, occupational and speech-language therapy professionals as well as specialized technicians in orthopedics and rehabilitation.
Therapy services begin with a comprehensive evaluation and development of a treatment plan designed to work toward the goal of returning to your prior level of function, including preparation for your hospital discharge.”
Zarif Sahib needs rehabilitation service to help him reach his highest level of functioning. He felt much better yesterday than what he experienced during his month long stay at the INOVA hospital, said Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General, World Kashmir Awareness Forum, Washington, DC. who visited him yesterday along with Professor Abdul Rashid of Rawlakot, Azad Kashmir. Mr. Shoaib Irshad, Joint Secretary of KAWA, his closest friend has spent nights with him at the hospital.
Sardar Zarif Khan, Advisor to the President of Azad Kashmir and General Secretary, Washington-based Kashmir American Welfare Association (KAWA) is one of the most prominent leaders of Washington metropolitan Azad Kashmir community. He is the most skillful organizer who has mastered the art of public advocacy. He has also learnt the techniques of strategic planning and decision making. If there is a Kashmir event in Washington or in New York, it is almost impossible to make it a success without the deep engagement and personal involvement of Sardar Zarif Khan.
Today, Zarif Sahib was extremely delighted to receive thoughtful ‘Get-well’ WhatsApp Facetime calls from his friends from Makkah who are there to perform the Hajj. He treasured each and every call he received from the Haramain-e-Sharifain.
We honor the willingness of Zarif Sahib to dedicate his energies for the freedom of his homeland, Kashmir.
Let us pray, “O Allah, heal Sardar Zarif Khan who is suffering from illness. Restore him to health and strength, and grant patience to his family and friends. You are the Supreme Healer, the Most Compassionate, and the Most Merciful. Aameen.”
