Brussels/Islamabad, (Unib Rashid) – Prominent Hurriyat leader and Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir National Front Altaf Hussain Wani has hailed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his fearless advocacy of the Kashmiris’ just cause.

‎In a statement issued here today, the National Front leader said that President Erdogan has always raised his voice against the persecution of Muslims everywhere in the world and sought resolution of world disputes through dialogue and diplomacy as enshrined in the UN Charter.

‎Referring to Turkey’s consistent support to Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for the right to self-determination, Wani said that Turkey is one of the leading countries that has maintained a clear and categorical stance on the key issues facing the Muslim world. “Be it Kashmir or Palestine, Turkey has never shied away from calling a spade a spade and, without any ifs and buts, condemned foreign occupation,” Wani said.

‎Citing President Erdogan’s speech at the UN General Assembly, he said that Mr Erdogan’s call for settling all disputes, including the Kashmir issue, through dialogue and within the framework of the UN Charter offers a pathway for permanent peace in the region and beyond.
