Pakistan Embassy Brussels Celebrates Heritage Day 2026, Showcasing the Country’s Rich Cultural Heritage

BRUSSELS, (Unib Rashid) — The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels celebrated Heritage Day 2026 with a vibrant showcase of Pakistan’s diverse and rich cultural traditions, welcoming guests from Belgium and other countries to experience the country’s heritage, traditions, colours, flavours and spirit of hospitality.

According to the Embassy’s Information Section, Ambassador of Pakistan Rahim Hayat Qureshi inaugurated the event. In his remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the richness and diversity of Pakistan’s cultural heritage and celebrated the longstanding bonds of friendship between Pakistan, Belgium and the wider international community.

Visitors to the Embassy showed keen interest in a variety of attractions arranged for the occasion, including traditional Pakistani food stalls, clothing, bangles and henna application. The activities provided guests with an opportunity to experience different aspects of Pakistan’s cultural traditions in a welcoming setting.

Heritage Day is organised annually in Brussels under the auspices of Urban Brussels, with events taking place over a weekend in September. The initiative features a range of cultural and social activities, while embassies from around the world based in Brussels are also invited to organise events highlighting their respective national cultures.

This year marked the 38th edition of Heritage Days in Brussels, with the Embassy of Pakistan continuing its participation as a regular contributor to the city’s multicultural cultural programme.
