Dublin/Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Mariam Aftab received Sarah Keane at the Embassy for a meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in sports, particularly cricket.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities to enhance collaboration between Pakistan and Ireland in the field of cricket and promote sporting ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Mariam Aftab assured the CEO of Cricket Ireland of the Embassy’s full support and cooperation regarding the upcoming visit of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team to Ireland, scheduled for the end of May 2026.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of sports diplomacy in fostering stronger people-to-people connections and further deepening relations between Pakistan and Ireland.
