KCEU’S Chair Ali Raza Syed condemns the terrorist attack on a mosque in Islamabad.

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ Chairman of the Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza Syed has condemned the suicide attack on the mosque Khadija al-Kubra (S.A) in the Trailai area of Islamabad, the Pakistan’s capital city and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of innocent and defenseless worshippers in this attack.

A suicide bomber killed at least 32 people and wounded almost 170 others during Friday prayers in the Muslim mosque, officials sources confirmed.

Condemning the brutal terrorist attack, Ali Raza Syed in a statement said that terrorists have no association with any religion or a nation; rather, they are enemies of humanity. Neither Islam nor any other religion, nor any civilized nation, permits violent attacks and terrorist act against humanity.

Targeting innocent and defenseless people is a shameful act. Particularly, a brutal attack on defenseless worshippers inside a mosque is in no way acceptable; rather, it is highly condemnable.

He demanded from the Government of Pakistan that instead of mere verbal statements, practical steps should be taken to provide protection to the people, and those involved in such incidents should be given exemplary punishment.

The Chairman of the Kashmir Council Europe expressed solidarity and sympathy with the families of those martyred and the injured in this incident.

Ali Raza Syed prayed, “May the Almighty elevate the ranks in haven of those martyred in this suicide attack and grant patience and solace to the bereaved families, Ameen.”
