Pakistan Ambassador Meets Pakistan Business Council Dubai to Boost Trade and Business Cooperation.

Dubai, (Tahir Munir Tahir) __ Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, on Tuesday held a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, aimed at strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.

The delegation was led by Chairman PBC Dubai, Muhammad Shabbir Merchant, and included Management Committee members Kamran Ahmed Riaz, Iftikhar Ali Tatla, Noor Karim Afridi, Saleem Tabani, and Muhammad Iqbal Dawood. Ali Zaib Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor, along with other officials of the Consulate, was also present during the meeting.

Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan appreciated the Pakistan Business Council’s continued efforts to promote trade, investment, and economic linkages between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. He reaffirmed the Embassy and Consulate’s full support for PBC initiatives aimed at facilitating the Pakistani business community and enhancing bilateral commercial relations.

Highlighting the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the UAE, the Ambassador emphasized that bilateral trade plays a pivotal role in further strengthening this strategic partnership. He also underscored the importance of PBC’s proactive role in guiding new Pakistani entrepreneurs, particularly in understanding the UAE’s regulatory framework, legal and compliance requirements, and evolving market trends.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PBC Dubai Muhammad Shabbir Merchant briefed the Ambassador on various initiatives undertaken by the Pakistan Business Council for the welfare and empowerment of the Pakistani business community. These initiatives include advocacy, networking, and capacity-building activities aimed at enhancing the presence and influence of Pakistani businesses in the UAE.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue close collaboration for promoting sustainable economic growth, trade expansion, and investment opportunities between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
