Dubai, (Tahir Munir Tahir) __ The Bangladeshi community in the United Arab Emirates has honoured senior Pakistani journalist and President of the Pakistan Journalists Forum (PJF) Dubai and UAE, Tahir Munir Tahir, with a prestigious award in recognition of his 25 years of dignified, outstanding, and people-friendly journalistic services in the Emirates.
The award was presented during a graceful and well-attended ceremony in Dubai, which was marked by mutual respect, unity, and strong community harmony. The event was attended by Dubai Police officials, Bangladeshi business leaders, and prominent Pakistani journalists, including Khalid Mahmood Gondal, Arif Shahid, and other distinguished personalities.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice President of PJF and renowned journalist Saadia Abbasi appreciated the growing relationship between the Bangladeshi community and Pakistani media in the UAE. She said such interactions are playing a vital role in promoting public-level harmony, mutual respect, and strengthening Pakistan–Bangladesh brotherly relations.
Secretary General PFUJ UAE, Ansar Akram, while addressing the gathering, expressed gratitude to the Bangladeshi community for honouring Tahir Munir Tahir. He highlighted the spirit of brotherhood and mutual respect between Pakistan and Bangladesh and described the UAE as a symbol of unity, peace, and coexistence, calling the ceremony a memorable and dignified moment.
President PFUJ UAE, Khalid Malik, in his address, stated that relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh are growing stronger with each passing day, and bilateral trade between the two countries is also increasing. He added that the growing interaction between the overseas communities of both nations is a positive development. Khalid Malik termed the ceremony a fine example of responsible journalism, community harmony, and Asian-Arab unity in the UAE.

On this occasion, Founder of PFUJ, Syed Mudassar Khushnood, said that the event organized by the Bangladeshi community is a shining example of the strengthening brotherhood between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He praised the values of respect, unity, and peace prevailing in the UAE, congratulated Tahir Munir Tahir on receiving the award, and appreciated the goodwill gesture of the Bangladeshi community.
In his concluding remarks, PJF President Tahir Munir Tahir expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Bangladeshi community residing in the UAE and to the Government of the United Arab Emirates for fostering an environment where people of different nationalities live together in unity, peace, and true brotherhood. He said this spirit of harmony is what connects hearts and eliminates distances.
