London, (Shahzad Ali) __ High Commissioner Dr Mohammad Faisal and his spouse, Dr Sarah Naeem, hosted an awareness and fundraising event for Zindagi Trust at Pakistan House on Saturday.
Zindagi Trust Founder Shehzad Roy and noted educationist and activist Mr Ziauddin Yousafzai, father of Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai, attended as special guests.

The event brought together educationists, experts, businessmen, and British-Pakistani community leaders to support quality education for underprivileged children in Pakistan.
Established in 2002 by Shehzad Roy, Zindagi Trust works to reform public schools, strengthen teacher capacity, and protect children’s rights.
Commending the organisation’s achievements, the High Commissioner said, “Shehzad Roy’s efforts have transformed government schools, protected children, and empowered teachers by advancing Pakistan’s national priorities and strengthening shared values with the UK.”

Shehzad Roy highlighted the urgent need for sustainable support to uplift marginalised communities through improved public education, inviting attendees to contribute through partnerships, advocacy, and philanthropy.
Earlier, Ziauddin Yousafzai shared his experience collaborating with the Zindagi Trust in transforming Malala’s former school in Shangla into a model institution, urging the community to back initiatives creating real educational change in remote and underserved areas.
Shehzad Roy thanked the High Commissioner for his support and for hosting the event to further Zindagi Trust’s mission.
