Geneva, (Younas khan) – Pakistan has expressed deep concern over alleged grave human rights violations against Palestinians during an interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Speaking on behalf of Pakistan at the mission in Geneva, diplomat Abbas Sarwar Qureshi highlighted the findings presented in the Special Rapporteur’s report, noting evidence of systematic violence and coordinated policies that undermine the physical and psychological well-being of the Palestinian people.
In his statement, Qureshi welcomed the Special Rapporteur and thanked her for the detailed report, emphasizing that the suppression of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination marks the beginning of broader efforts to deny them their fundamental human rights.

He also expressed concern over repeated personal attacks and unfounded allegations against the Special Rapporteur, stating that such actions further embolden violations of international law by Israel.
The statement underscored that acts of violence and coercion in the occupied territories are not isolated incidents but part of a systematic structure aimed at sustaining occupation and control. It added that the prolonged illegal occupation subjects Palestinians to continuous suffering, including cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment.
Pakistan further warned that the persistent denial of the inalienable rights of Palestinians risks reinforcing patterns resembling colonial domination, discriminatory systems, and potential ethnic cleansing.
Reaffirming its longstanding position, Pakistan reiterated full support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, calling for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds الشريف (Jerusalem) as its capital.
The statement concluded with Pakistan urging the international community to take meaningful steps to end the occupation and ensure justice, peace, and dignity for the Palestinian people.
