Islamabad, (TW News) __ A seminar was held at the National Press Club, Islamabad, to mark Black Day against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The event was organized by the Global Pak Kashmir Supreme Council (GPKSC) Chairman Raja Sikander Khan and President of the Women’s Wing Mishal Masood.
In his welcome address, Chairman Raja Sikander Khan welcomed the participants and briefed them on the significance of October 27, observed as Black Day. He reiterated that the GPKSC remains committed to raising its voice for the right to self-determination of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) at every forum until justice is achieved.

The seminar was attended and addressed by several prominent figures, including former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan, British Lord Nazir Ahmed, former AJK Minister Chaudhry Riaz Mahmood, Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani, Syed Shabbir Ahmed, Raja Abdul Rauf, Mishal Masood, and others.
Sardar Masood Khan, in his remarks, recalled October 27, 1947, as a dark chapter in history when Indian forces invaded Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the massacre of hundreds of thousands of Muslims. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces, saying Pakistan has kept the just struggle of the Kashmiri people alive and that the world is now recognizing the truth over India’s false narrative.
Lord Nazir Ahmed said that leaders like Modi and Netanyahu have mastered the art of deception, but the truth is now unfolding before the world. He lauded the courage of the Pakistani nation and armed forces, adding that international attention on the Kashmir issue has grown, particularly following the involvement of former US President Donald Trump.
Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani emphasized that the Kashmir issue is rooted in a clear violation of international law. He stated that India’s use of the so-called accession treaty signed by Maharaja Hari Singh was illegal, leading to decades of occupation, oppression, and bloodshed in the region.
Other speakers also condemned the continued human rights abuses in the occupied valley and reaffirmed the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination under UN resolutions. They urged the international community to take concrete steps to end Indian aggression and to amplify the voices of the oppressed people of Kashmir.
