Kashmiri Community in the UK Celebrates DIG Hassan Qayyum’s Achievement with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz

London, (Shahzad Ali) __ On Pakistan’s Independence Day, DIG Hassan Qayyum of the AJK Special Branch received the distinguished Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award from the Government of Pakistan, recognizing his exemplary contributions to law enforcement. This honor has resonated deeply within the Kashmiri diaspora in the United Kingdom, who have expressed their heartfelt pride and congratulations.

Prominent community leaders, including former Deputy Leader of Luton Council and Leader of the Luton Conservative Party Group, Cllr Raja Mohammad Aslam Khan, alongside notable figures like Mohammad Maqsood Ali Chaudhry, Lala Chaudhry Mohammad Taj Samroor, social worker Sarfraz Ali Chaudhry, Tahir Chaudhry, Yasir Chaudhry, and Shakeel-uz-Zaman, have sent sincere messages of commendation.

Community representatives highlighted that DIG Hassan Qayyum is recognized as a highly accomplished police officer in Azad Kashmir. He hails from a notable family—his father is retired Commissioner Chaudhry Abdul Qayyum from Sarhota No. 2, Kotli AJK, and his father-in-law, Dr. Safeer Iqbal, a retired Director general of Health, AJK. His career reflects unwavering dedication to public service and a commitment to enhancing law enforcement capabilities.
