Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar had a telephone conversation.

During their conversation, both expressed deep concern over recent regional developments in Iran and the wider Middle East. In their conversation, both leaders stressed the need for dialogue, diplomacy, and de-escalation.

On this occasion, the Pakistani Foreign Minister also briefed the European Union High Representative on the Pakistan-Afghanistan tension and appreciated the constructive engagement of the European Union in this regard. While both sides agreed to maintain close contact on the evolving regional situation.
