Janaza prayers of Islamic Scholar Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Gilani Held in East London

London, (Syed Razi Hassan Gilani) – The janaza prayers of the renowned Islamic thinker and Patron-in-Chief of the Central Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat UK & Overseas Trust, Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Gilani, was held at Ghausia Mosque, Lea Bridge Road, East London.

The funeral procession was brought from Darul Uloom Qadria Jilania, Walthamstow, in a horse-drawn carriage, where many devotees had gathered to pay their respects. People from all over the UK and Europe attended the janaza prayers.

It may be recalled that Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Gilani passed away on Saturday morning following cardiac arrest.

Prominent attendees included Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE from Luton, Barrister Syed Toqeer Shah, Pir Syed Razi Hassan Gilani, and Pir Syed Ghafoor Haider Gilani, who had travelled from Pakistan.

The final prayers of the late scholar will be performed in Pakistan.

Participants expressed deep sorrow over his demise, stating that the void left by Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Gilani’s passing cannot be filled for long. They described his religious and community services as a shining chapter in history.
