Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with an Iranian delegation during the Islamabad Talks on Saturday, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and diplomatic engagement.
The Iranian delegation was led by the Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and included Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister appreciated Iran’s constructive participation in the Islamabad Talks and reiterated Pakistan’s sincere resolve to continue playing a proactive mediating role. He emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue to build momentum toward meaningful outcomes in the interest of regional and global peace and stability.
On the Pakistani side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The engagement reflects Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue and promote stability amid evolving regional dynamics.
