Antwerp, (Unib Rashid) — Ravel Ali, the first Pakistani-origin female councillor in Antwerp, organized a vibrant Eid festival that saw enthusiastic participation from women and children.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravel Ali said that women in Antwerp set up various stalls during the Eid celebrations. She explained that the primary objective of the event was to provide a platform for women to promote their businesses and generate income.

“We also wanted to create a social space where women could come together, interact, and enjoy a refreshing break from their routine lives,” she added.

The festival featured a range of activities for children, including a trampoline, two play areas, and face painting, making it a joyful occasion for families.

Ravel Ali expressed her happiness that the Eid gathering brought smiles to the faces of women and children alike.

The event was also attended by Member of Parliament Lise Vandecasteele from the PVDA.
