Sanghar, Sindh (TW) – A meaningful Women Empowerment Awareness Session was successfully conducted in Village Kewal Kolhi on the directive of Chairman Global Pak Kashmir Supreme Council, Raja Sikander Khan, and organized by Ms. Mishal Masood, President of the Council’s Rawalpindi Wing.
The session brought together more than 30 women and girls, eager to enhance their lives through education, skill development, and awareness. Distinguished guest speakers included Mr. Asad Ali Bozdar (Educationist), Ms. Mona Mari (Women Rights Advocate), and Ms. Bharmai Kolhi (Community Leader), who addressed key topics such as education, financial independence, early marriages, health and hygiene, and technical skill-building.
As a major highlight of the event, Ms. Mishal Masood announced the launch of a two-month vocational training course in collaboration with Odyssey Academy, focused on sewing and garment making. Selected women from the village will receive sewing machines, materials, and full setups to support their learning during the program.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be awarded certificates, and a structured feedback process will follow to evaluate outcomes such as income generation and personal development.
This initiative marks a vital step toward enabling dignified, home-based livelihoods for rural women through practical, income-generating skills. The enthusiasm and immediate registration of over 30 women highlight the strong local demand for such empowerment efforts.
In a joint statement, Chairman Raja Sikander Khan and President Kala Khan emphasized the Council’s commitment to:
- Expanding awareness and training sessions to more underserved villages
- Monitoring and mentoring trained women for sustained impact
- Introducing community-driven training programs
- Evaluating long-term economic benefits through structured follow-ups
This initiative reflects a growing movement toward sustainable women’s empowerment across rural Pakistan.
