London, (Shahzad ALi) __ The Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has embarked on a significant three-day official visit to the United Kingdom from 17 to 19 August 2025. His arrival was met with a warm welcome at the airport by Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Pakistan’s esteemed High Commissioner to the UK.
Throughout his visit, Senator Dar is scheduled to engage in pivotal discussions with notable UK officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan Hamish Falconer, Lord Wajid Khan, and Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
The principal agenda of this visit is to fortify the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UK, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in cutting-edge domains such as digital technology, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship. Moreover, expanding Pakistan’s engagement with the Commonwealth remains a strategic priority during these discussions.
In addition to his official meetings, Senator Dar will also meet with British Members of Parliament, esteemed Kashmiri leaders, and key representatives of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK, reinforcing the strong ties that bind these communities.
As part of his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will inaugurate two significant initiatives at the Pakistan High Commission in London: the pilot project of the Punjab Land Record Authority and the One Window Operation of IMPASS, aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency in governmental operations.
This visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to fostering robust international partnerships and exploring new avenues for cooperation with the United Kingdom and the broader Commonwealth community.
