Islamabad/Brusels, (Unib Rashid) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day, paying tribute to the historic struggle that led to the creation of Pakistan while reaffirming the country’s commitment to unity, resilience, and counterterrorism efforts.

In his message marking March 23, Dar highlighted the significance of the 1940 Pakistan Resolution, under which Muslims of the subcontinent demanded a separate homeland to live in accordance with their values and principles. He paid homage to the vision, determination, and sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers, noting that under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan emerged despite immense challenges.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan Day is being observed at a time when the region faces multiple conflicts and economic challenges. He expressed confidence that by adhering to the principles of unity, faith, and discipline, the nation will successfully overcome current difficulties.

Reiterating Pakistan’s firm resolve against terrorism, Dar stated that ongoing efforts, including actions against militant threats, reflect the country’s determination to ensure peace and stability. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and security personnel who continue to safeguard the nation’s future.

On regional issues, the Foreign Minister underscored Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming the country’s commitment to providing moral and diplomatic backing until their right to self-determination is realized.

He also acknowledged the contributions of overseas Pakistanis, praising their dedication and role in representing the country globally and contributing to its development.

Concluding his message, Ishaq Dar expressed hope and confidence in the nation’s collective strength and prayed for Pakistan’s continued progress, peace, and prosperity.
