Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ AgriCapture Expands Global Rice Methane Project to Pakistan.
AgriCapture has announced the expansion of its Global Rice Methane Project into Pakistan, marking a significant step in scaling climate-smart agriculture initiatives across South Asia.

The company is partnering with Sustainable Agriculture Water and Intelligent Ecosystem (SAWIE Ecosystems) to implement the project. The initiative combines on-the-ground farmer engagement with advanced agricultural data systems to promote sustainable farming practices.

A key focus of the project is the adoption of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD), a water management technique designed to reduce methane emissions from rice cultivation. Through these efforts, the project aims to generate measurable methane reductions at scale.

Carbon credits generated from the 2026 growing season will be developed under Verra’s VM51 methodology, ensuring high-integrity methane reductions in line with international carbon market standards.
