Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels has paid solemn tribute to the brave soldiers and martyrs of Pakistan on the occasion of Defence & Martyrs Day, remembering their courage, sacrifices and unwavering commitment to defending the motherland during the 1965 war.

In a statement issued on the occasion, the Embassy joined the Pakistani nation in honouring the armed forces personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Embassy said the courage and sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs remain a lasting source of national pride, inspiration and strength, adding that their legacy continues to guide the country in facing challenges with determination and unity.

The Embassy reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity while working towards a strong, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.

Defence & Martyrs Day is observed every year on 6 September to commemorate the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces during the 1965 war and to pay tribute to those who laid down their lives in defence of the country.
