Brussels/Islamabad, (Unib Rashid) – The Embassy of Italy in Islamabad has raised concerns over an unprecedented surge in the submission of dubious and forged documents accompanying study visa applications from Pakistan.

In a public advisory, the embassy urged students applying for Italian study visas to strictly avoid submitting forged or fraudulent documents, particularly those relating to their financial means and proof of subsistence.

The embassy warned that the submission of forged documents could result in the immediate rejection of the visa application and may also negatively affect the applicant’s chances in any future visa applications.

The Italian Embassy advised prospective students to ensure that all documents submitted with their visa applications are genuine, accurate and verifiable, stressing that applicants should avoid relying on fraudulent documentation or misleading information.

The warning comes amid growing interest among Pakistani students in pursuing higher education in Italy. The embassy’s advisory is aimed at ensuring that applicants follow the proper visa procedures and submit authentic documentation.
