Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, held a meeting with Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), at the Prime Minister’s Office to review ongoing efforts aimed at promoting sustainable peace in the region.
During the meeting, both leaders assessed the progress of Pakistan’s mediatory initiatives and expressed satisfaction over the de-escalation achieved so far. They underscored the importance of maintaining peace and adherence to the ceasefire by all concerned parties.
The leadership appreciated the restraint shown by all sides and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue facilitating dialogue and extending full support to help the parties reach a peacefully negotiated settlement.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the commitment demonstrated by the stakeholders involved in the peace process and expressed hope for their success in achieving lasting stability. He also reiterated Pakistan’s invitation to the incoming delegations and assured them of the highest level of cooperation and support during their engagements in the country.
