Islamabad/ Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Rector of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif, held a meeting with Jahanzeb Khan, President and CEO of Easypaisa Digital Bank, to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between academia and the digital finance industry.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities to enhance academia-industry linkages, focusing on joint initiatives that could benefit students, researchers, and the broader financial technology ecosystem. Key areas of discussion included emerging financial technologies and the development of digitally enabled campus ecosystems.

The discussion also underscored the importance of fostering innovation through collaborative research and practical engagement, enabling students to gain exposure to real-world applications in the rapidly evolving fintech sector.

Both parties emphasized the potential for synergistic initiatives that not only advance academic research but also contribute to innovation and growth in Pakistan’s expanding digital finance landscape.
