Belgrade, (Unib Rashid) __ Pakistan’s Ambassador to Serbia, Faraz Zaidi, met with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić on Thursday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing political dialogue between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Zaidi conveyed Pakistan’s appreciation for Serbia’s commitment to deepening cooperation and shared ongoing efforts to build practical linkages across multiple sectors. These include increased engagement with business institutions, outreach beyond Belgrade, and academic collaboration.
He highlighted the upcoming visit of a delegation from Serbia’s Institute of International Politics and Economics to Islamabad, during which an agreement is expected to be signed with the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad.
Ambassador Zaidi also welcomed progress toward the reopening of Serbia’s Embassy in Islamabad, noting that the move would provide further momentum to bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan considers Serbia an important partner in the Balkans and looks forward to expanding economic engagement and institutional cooperation in the coming period, he said.
