London, (Special Correspondent) __ UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer held a high-level telephone conversation on December 28 with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and several European leaders to discuss ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
According to a statement issued by 10 Downing Street, the talks focused on recent developments regarding the Ukraine war and coordinated initiatives to advance the peace process. World leaders participating in the call acknowledged and appreciated the role played by US President Donald Trump in supporting progress toward peace.
The leaders emphasized that strong and effective security guarantees for Ukraine are essential and agreed on the urgent need to bring an end to what was described as a “brutal war” at the earliest possible stage.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to working closely with international partners in the coming days to maintain momentum in peace negotiations and ensure sustained diplomatic engagement.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump highlighted his leadership role in mobilizing coordinated international support for Ukraine as peace talks continue at the global level.
