Religious Scholars Express Grief Over the Passing of Islamic Thinker Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani

A Wave of Mourning Spreads Across Religious Circles in the UK and Europe

London, (Shahzad Ali) __ Renowned Islamic scholar, spiritual leader, and patron-in-chief of the Central Jamaat Ahle Sunnat UK & Overseas, Dr. Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani, passed away in London on Saturday morning. His demise has sent a wave of deep sorrow across religious, spiritual, and scholarly circles in Britain and Europe.

The Secretary-General of the Central Jamaat Ahle Sunnat, Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE, the organisation’s spokesperson Pir Syed Anwar Hussain Kazmi, and a large number of religious scholars and spiritual leaders from across the UK and Europe have expressed heartfelt condolences to the late scholar’s son-in-law, President of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Syed Mazhar Hussain Gillani, his sons Syed Pir Shah Gillani, Syed Naqeeb Shah Gillani, Syed Anwar Shah Gillani, Syed Ali Imam Gillani, and other family members.

In their condolence messages, the scholars said that Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani was among the most distinguished scholars and spiritual leaders of Ahle Sunnat in the United Kingdom. His religious, scholarly, and community services will always be remembered. They noted that with his passing, the UK and Europe have lost a radiant spiritual light and an exemplary Islamic thinker.

Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE expressed profound grief and prayed for the elevation of the departed soul’s ranks in the hereafter, asking Allah Almighty to grant patience and strength to the bereaved family. Ameen.
