Pakistan Embassy in Brussels Hosts Networking Conference to Boost Pakistan-Belgium Cooperation in Education and Science

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels organized a networking conference connecting Pakistani students and professionals from various fields. The event brought together representatives from the European Commission, Belgian institutions, and the Pakistani diaspora.

Representatives from the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Flemish Higher Education Council highlighted the positive trajectory of academic cooperation between Pakistan and Belgium and shared useful resources for current scholars.

Delegates from EUScienceInnov and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture briefed participants on opportunities available under Horizon Europe and Erasmus Plus programs.

During one of the sessions, members of the Pakistani community in Belgium shared their success stories in different scientific and professional sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Pakistani diaspora through education and commended the growing academic collaboration between Belgium and Pakistan.

He also emphasized the importance of building a “Diaspora Bridge” and harnessing the power of science diplomacy to deepen bilateral academic cooperation.
