London (TW) __ Chairman Global Pak-Kashmir Supreme Council Raja Sikandar Khan, President Tehreek Kashmir UK Faheem Kayani and Mufti Fazal Ahmad Qadri Patron Supreme All-Party Kashmir Coordination Committee under the leadership of British Kashmiris and Pakistanis on August 5, 2024 Exploitation Day. March and protest were organized regarding Kashmir.
Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the British Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street, Westminster, London, and marching towards the Indian High Commission in London chanted, “Indian Army out of Kashmir,” “Kashmir wants freedom” Article Restore 370 and 35A to its original position” etc. etc. and many conscientious speakers gave speeches.
Chairman Global Pak Kashmir Supreme Council Raja Sikandar Khan said that on August 5, 2019, the Government of India revoked the special status and autonomy granted to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution. This day is observed as Kashmir’s Black Day. The abrogation of special status is in direct violation of the UN resolution on Kashmir which affirms Kashmir’s right to self-determination.
At the end of the protest, outside the Indian High Commission, Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK President Faheem Kayani received a petition signed by several Kashmiri community leaders as well as Chairman Global Pak Supreme Council Raja Sikandar Khan and after their signature, the petition was sent to the Indian High Commission. There was a lot of patriotism and enthusiasm among the British Kashmiris who came from all over the UK who came from Derby, Birmingham, Peterborough, Luton, Watford, Slough, Reading, Southall, Hounslow, East London, Cambridge and many other cities had brought
Leaders from Kashmir including Hurriyat leader Syed Yusuf Naseem Advocate, former MLA of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Madam Maher Nisa, former Mayor of Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, President Global Pak Kashmir Supreme Council AJK Chapter Syed Shabbir. Ahmad participated and gave speeches, British Kashmiri and Pakistani protesters included former Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister Mahmood Riaz, Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Chaudhry Dil Pazir, former Mayor Luton Riaz Butt, former Mayor Salo Amjad Abbasi, Barrister Mahmood Khan, President Tehreek Kashmir Europe Muhammad Ghalib, Chairman Pakistan Patriotic Front Chaudhry Tariq Mehmood, Raja Naveed Khan, Mrs. Shamim Shaul, Rehana Ali, Shaughta Hamid, Rukhsana Begum, Shakeela Bibi, Miss Naila, Muhammad Riaz, Ikram ul Haq, Muhammad Jameel, Shahid Iqbal, Haji Muhammad Hanif, Councilor Zahoor Ahmed, Iftikhar Jagno, Raja Muhammad Faras Khan, Raja M. Sajid, Khawaja Muhammad Sulaiman, M. Naeem, Raja Hamid Hussain, Khawaja Aneeq, Stuart Richardson Member Stop the War Coalition West Midlands and many others. Hundreds of people attended, as well as people from all walks of life from across the UK.
At the end of the protest, Chairman Global Pak-Kashmir Supreme Council Raja Sikandar Khan and President Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK Faheem Kayani thanked the print and electronic media and the participants for the peaceful protest and encouraged everyone to be more aware of the Kashmir issue. I encouraged to create awareness and asked everyone to create awareness about illegal activities in occupied Kashmir.
