COPENHAGEN,(Aqil Qadir) __ Minhaj School of Islamic Sciences in Denmark, under the patronage of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, held a prayer ceremony at its headquarters in honor of the birthday of Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri,Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
The event began with a recitation of the Quran by Qari Walayat Khan, followed by students from the school presenting a beautiful group performance of nasheed for the Holy Prophet S.A.W.
In his welcoming speech, Principal of Minhaj School Denmark, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Al-Azhari, introduced the personality and works of Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and paid tribute to his academic, religious, social, and organizational contributions.
He highlighted Dr. Qadri’s academic achievements, which include a law degree from Punjab University, a Master’s in Arabic and Islamic Sciences from Minhaj University Lahore, an MSc in Management Sciences from City University London, and a Ph.D. from Egypt on the comparative study of the Constitution of Medina with modern legal systems.
The principal also praised Dr. Qadri’s efforts in running the international network of Minhaj Welfare Foundation and his leadership in promoting modern Islamic education through institutions like Minhaj University and Minhaj College for Women.
President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark, Qaisar Zubair Najeeb, also spoke at the event, delivering his remarks in Danish.
He emphasized the global impact of Minhaj-ul-Quran, with over 100 countries benefiting from its educational and spiritual services, and praised the organization’s work in Denmark, which plays a significant role in the religious education and moral training of the Muslim community, especially the youth.
The event concluded with a cake cutting ceremony in honor of Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri’s, followed by a prayer led by Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Al-Azhari.
Key figures such as Qaisar Zubair Najeeb, Hafiz Sajjad Ahmed, Ali Imran, Rizwan Ahmed , Faisal Najeeb, Kashif Khan, Nafees Fatima Iftikhar, Qari Nadeem Akhtar, Qari Wilayat Khan, Anisa Shaheen, Yasmeen Nadeem , Sadaf Shams, Maryam Idrees, and several others attended the ceremony.
