Thurrock Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture and Communities Cllr Qaisar Abbas has received a Special Award in recognition of his contribution towards empowering women. The award was presented at the women‘s leadership conference 2023. The conference was organised by The Good Samaritan Foundation in London on Sunday, 26th March.
Founder Director of TGS Foundation, Counsellor Funmi Ademilua, said, “I am pleased to present this award to Cllr Abbas in recognition of his excellent performance, the contributions he made empowering women in our community. This is to express our appreciation for his dedication to the continuing development and growth of women and young adults in our community.”
Cllr Qaisar Abbas said, “I am humbled and honoured to receive this award. I have received dozens of other awards and each award gives me aspiration to do more to help and support women, young adults and members of different communities. I thank the person who has nominated me and organisers for this award.”
